Honda Repair: oil on the pistons, b16 head, ls vtec

Question
I have a problem I remove my head and there was oil on the pistons. What can it be ?

Answer
Anthony, that is either the head gasket not being sealed 100%. Or the rings are not sealing correctly due to warpage. If you have the LS/VTEC then you can drop the oil pan, remove the bolts from the rods and slide the rods and pistons up, replace the rings, hone the cylinder walls with a tool, re-install. Bottom end has just been freshened up. Or you can put different piston tops from a B16 for higher compression. GSR pistons and type-r pistons will give you good compression too. My LS/VTEC was a B18-B16 head, with P73 pistons and LS rods (strongest) everything was balanced. Intake, header, exhaust = 220 HP to the wheels! Redline 9K...
