Question
QUESTION: I really need help My mother bought me a 01 honda prelude sh right before she passed away and I really want to fix the car but I cant afford the guess work that they have done I have replaced the number one 02 sensor and map sensor and fuel filter . when you drive it it jumps real bad and when you get to 3100 rpm it is like it flat lines or stalls and takes no gas as if it is in neutral ..I sometimes turn it off and back on and it goes on .I am very upset because i dont want to get rid of the car as my mother just past this past sept ..Please if you can help me I would greatly appreciate it

ANSWER: Ann, can you provide me more details so i can make a more calculated decision? Be very specific even the most insignificant detail can help. For example, how many miles? You have the DOHC VTEC motor. Very strong reliable motor btw. With it flat lining like that it sounds like it is getting a lack of fuel. Fuel pump. Any other check engine codes? Have you scanned for codes? Auto parts stores do this service for free. Get back to me asap

QUESTION: it has 1680000  miles on it I have had it on the machines they read c02 sensor then read the map sensor they give different readings , I didnt know what the atts light meant but it stays on and i had it reset and went off as well as the check engine light  but was back on the next day someone said that atts uses oil and it may be lowing causing all the trouble  when the lights are off it runs perfect but when there on it acts all crazy like i explained ..I greatly appreciate your answering me back and i appreciate all the help you can give me with this

Answer
Ann, start by fixing the check engine codes. One by one. Replace the O2 sensor first. Then move on to the next code. If the light is still coming on this is the computer saying there is a problem and needs your attention. Otherwise the car is not going to perform like it should. Other than that i can't really offer you any other advice. So start at problem 1 and work through them ok?
