I have a 1988 Honda Accord LXI. It keeps burning out fuses for the brake lights. If you put the fuse in with the car turned off it is fine the brake lights work fine until you start the car then it burns out, You do not have to do anything it burns out as soon as you start the car. If you put it in with it running it burns out right away.

Anthony, check your wiring around the area of the brake light. If needed pull out the entire light and reinstall it. You have one of your 'hot' wires touching a ground. Since the bulb completes the circut it is kinda like a fuse too. Examine all rear wiring very closely. There is a problem back there.
