Honda Repair: Accord oil pan removal, pan gasket, haynes manual

Question
Travis - hello. I've 'seemingly' done everything the Haynes manual has said to do it terms of removing the oil pan from my '93 Accord to install a new pan gasket. However, this #!@%$$ pan seems to be 'hung up' on something not mentioned or pictured in the manual. The component it butts up to on right side (passengers side) is seemingly 'catching' the top portion of the pan thus, not allowing it to drop enough to clear the studs. I've assured all pan-bolts are removed and the exhaust pipe underneath has been loosened enough to allow for clearence of the pan-studs.
What's the 'catch?' **Any and all help is greatly appreciated.** Thanks in advance. -Tom

Answer
Tom, these can be tricky to remove. The transmission has an inspection plate. Should be like 2 10mm bolts and 2 12mm bolts. Remove them. And remove the inspection plate. Pan should clear. The plate is black in color and kind of looks like a half 'u' shaped. But is probably covered in grime. Try this and let me know.
