Honda Repair: 1994 honda civic ex losing power, new distributor cap, honda civic ex

Question
i have a 94 civic ex coupe with headers, intake, new distributer, alternator and belts. it has a power steering boot leak but that's not my problem. Just now it started sputtering and losing power, i can't even go 55, but there is no oil loss, no milky oil, no over heating, no transmission jerk. It starts back up everytime, and there is plenty of fuel. Do you have any ideas of what it could be? And if you need more information i'll gladly try to fill you in. oh it did rain to today and i've never driven it in the rain for the three weeks i've own it.

Answer
Lougan, when buying used cars there is always a risk. Especially when they are modified. Since you purchased used start with the basics. Tune-up. Fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires. If the distributor is new it should have a new distributor cap and rotor. Inspect to be sure. Hook up to an OBD-1 code scanner/reader and evaluate any codes it might be throwing? It could be an O2 sensor or a fuel pump...
