Question
when i was driving to work my car stopped at a stop sign and the rpms would go down everytime i would brake or let off the acclerator...when i went to do a tune up the bottom of the spark plugs were covered in oil and they were all burnt. the car turns on but doesnt stay on unless im accelerating...im not sure wat it is...my dad says its the valve cover gasket but my friend says its the piston rings..need help soon!!!!!

Answer
Vincent, don't waste your money on the valve cover gasket. Your friend is right. Replace the motor. Or replace the spark plugs which will give you about a month of somewhat better driving. Whichever this is the end of the life of your motor. Rebuilds are good and can save you money but know what you are doing before jumping in there. Whichever the cylinder head is probably fine so replacing the bottom end is not that bad.
