Honda Repair: heater controls, honda accord ex, fan speeds

Question
a 92 honda accord ex with push button controls when you push different buttons the air seems to be blocked from coming out the properly the fan blows on high all other functions work like lights and fan speeds but very little air comes out on high

Answer
Dave those heater control components consist of the push button display, hard lines going to the heater core/air/transfer box. When a button is selected to switch from vent to feet, for example, the button activates a 'door' to move inside the heater core/air/transfer box. If there is a blockage within that door it will not switch properly. Maybe one of the lines came disconnected? Perhaps the push button display looks like it is working but failing? You kinda need to trouble shoot it with a couple of different methods. Hope this helps you...
