Honda Repair: 88 Honda Accord LX, honda accord lx, air control valve

Question
When I start the car idles very rough until I drive for about 1 mile and then runs very smooth after. During then rough idle i can hear a slight vacuum leak and then that goes away also after 1 mile or so. Could this be a symptom of one of the idle valves? If so which one?

Nelson, no idea what an idle valve is? Possibly the Idle Air Control Valve is what you are describing? Whichever case start the car up and listen for the vacuum leak. This will give you a general idea of what area to concentrate on diagnosis and repair. Can you describe in more detail what the car is doing, sounding like, and driving like would be a great help too.
