Honda Repair: 95 Honda Accord, auto-transmisson, remanufactured transmissions, torque converter

Question
I keep having the front seal leaking. If the fluid is overfilled is there a releif valve? or does this cause the seal to blow? I've had my vehicle in the shop 4 times. The front case around the seal has been replace, the torque converter has been fixed. This is all after a rebuild. Any help is appreciated. Thank You

Answer
There isn't any kind of a relief valve on the transmission that acts as a blow off. Honestly, if you've had it in a shop 4 times AFTER a rebuild, then I would suggest going to another transmission shop & get a second opinion on why you are having so many issues. I can see having to go back maybe once to get some issue resolved, but not 4 times. If the other shop tells you what could be wrong with it, you should get that in writing & present it to the original rebuilder & get them to give you some money back or to give you a longer warranty. It sounds as if the first shop didn't really know what they were doing, & trust me, there are some absolute idiots out there rebuilding transmissions. This is why I only install remanufactured transmissions & I only see the customer come back later for routine service to their transmission. It sounds like you are frustrated with this shop, so I would recommend another opinion. To answer your question, if the gaskets & seals were installed correctly, they shouldn't EVER leak.
