Honda Repair: civic vx coolant leak, coolant leak, oil seals

Question
my 92 civic vx has a coolant leak coming somewhere underneath the timing belt. I'm not quite sure where but that area of the motor is wet and it just drips all the time. I have to refill the coolant cause it overheats a lot. Finally, the motor gave up on me and won't even start.

Answer
If it is leaking from the timing belt area, you probably have a water pump leaking coolant. To replace this, you should replace the timing belt, the water pump, the internal oil seals that leak oil & the outer drive belts. If it has gotten to the point that it overheats constantly, you may have overheated the engine to the point of cracking the cylinder head. If you did this, you might be in the market for another engine. FYI- most of the engines that I replace are from customers overheating them.
