Honda Repair: 98 civic ex power door locks, power door locks, door latch

Question
When I use the factory keyless entry the drivers door tries to open but it does not and if I hit the remote a 2nd time all the doors will open except the driver's door.

It is possible that the power door lock actuator is malfunctioning in the driverside door. Does the door unlock with the door switch on the door panel? If it doesn't, you probably need to look at the door lock actuator. This is a small electric motor on the bottom of the door latch inside the door & all it does is push the door lock rod up & down. If it is worn out, it won't unlock the one door while all the others work.
