Honda Repair: 93 si rear tail light assembly removal, tailgate area, honda civic si

There looks to be water coming in from around the light somwere i removed the plastic cover in the rear and have exposed the back of the light  but can't figure out how to get to the hardware that holds it all together

Hi Randy, there are [3] or [4], 8mm nuts that retain the light on the 1993 Honda Civic Si HB. My next question would be are you working on the tailgate area or the outer? The outers are common for filling up with water. Try drilling some tiny holes at the bottom of the tail light. (Yes, into the clear, plastic tail light assembly...) This should eliminate the problem for you as well as cleaning the tail light out...
