Honda Repair: front fan, fan blade, fan assembly

hi i drive a 91 honda accord. and one of the front cooling fans appears loose and makes a bad rattling noise when you kick the engine over, is this a common problem? is it a matter of tightening it up? or is it more serious than this. the other fan is fine. just the fan on the drivers side seems to be making the racket. any advice would be greatly appreciated

It sounds like the fan blade may have come apart. The only real fix for this is a new blade. Take off your fan assembly, its too tens on the top and one or two on the bottom. Once you get it off you'll have a better idea of if its the fan blade or the motor. But make sure you take care of this soon so as the fan dosent wear a hole in the radiator costing you more money.
