Honda Repair: 92 Accord - No Spark, haynes manual, coil pack

Question
My 92 Accord just quit running in the middle of the road.  The Honda Dealer says I am getting no spark and wants to replace the ignitor, coil, cap, rotor, wires plugs coil wire.  Do all these parts need replacing at once?  I'm a colleg student and don't have the $600+ to have this done.  I would like to do the repair myself but just fix one thing at a time until the car runs again.  What part should I start with first?

Answer
Hey Ken,
Believe me when I tell you I know what it's like to be in college and have a car that keeps breaking and have no money to fix it! Honestly I would just try replacing the Coil pack, but while you have the distributor cap off I would look at the cap make sure the pins are clean and not worn and the same with the rotor. These parts are very inexpensive and you should be able to pick them up at any local parts dealer. If you have any mechanical knowledge at all this should be a simple task to repair on your own. You can also pick up a Haynes manual from the same parts store for your specific car to use as a reference. Good luck and if you need any other help feel free to let me know.
