Honda Repair: cv halfshaft removal, honda civic 2005, 2005 honda crv

Question
I own a 92 Honda civic,2005 Honda crv, 94 and 95 Acura integra and a 99 Acura TL. What is the best tool that I can buy to remove the lower ball joints on the cars that I owned. I would like to replace the cv half shaft since the boots cracks quite often. I tried using a big hammer, but it doesn't seem to work. Is there a tool that I can buy from Honda or anywhere else?  Thanks...

Answer
you only need 2 things to separate ball joints.
a good sledge (4 or 5lb) and a fork.
imagine a big beefy tuning fork.

the one i use.. i bought at autozone for 7bucks about 6 or 7 years ago :).

don't ever use the 'splitters' that are like minature pullers. they don't really work worth a crap and they can take a finger off when they slip.
