Honda Repair: 94 Honda Civic speedometer issues, mileage meter, classic honda

Speedometer, odometer and mileage meter stop working at intervals for no apparent reason. They worked for months after last episode. Since it wasn't "doing it" when it went to the shop, no one could diagnose and fix problem. Started again yesterday. Suggestions? Thanks

This sounds like a classic Honda speedometer head problem. You can replace just the speedo head to save money or you could opt to get an entire cluster. Ebay is a great place to find a cluster inexpensive. If the check engine light was on I would pull the code and say that maybe it was the speed sensor but if it is not it is the speedo head.
