Honda Repair: 98 Integra Radiator, radiator shop, metal tanks

Question
I have a leak in the seam of the top tank. What is the verdict on repair or replace and if it can be repaired can it be done without taking to a shop?

Answer
tanks are plastic. can only be replaced.
a good radiator shop could possibly repair it with metal tanks, but the cost would be close to the same and it isn't worth the trouble of it potentially leaking again later.

a new aftermarket one isn't but 150-200 your cost (we get them shop cost from 100-125) vs being stranded somewhere or potentially overheating the motor is the much better choice.

stop leak is bad. it is a temporary fix and will clog up the radiator and motor as well as the leak.
