Honda Repair: 1987 Accord 4 dr LX A/T Carbd, vacuum lines, vacuum valve

Question
Engine starts and runs perfect when cold and at hot idle.    Problem begins as soon as engine reaches operating temp.  If at road idle when engine reaches temp - engine will bog slightly, as if a control valve or vacuum valve is triggered when the temp is reached.  Thereafter, whenever, the engine is accelerated the bog is felt but, then during constant acceleration and leveling off to road idle, it will operate O.K.

Occasionally, when the accelerator is released it feels as though the ignition is shut off but, when moving the gear selector to neutral, the engine will return to its proper/steady idle speed and has never died.

Have done some vacuum checks and replaced some of the control valves but, to no avail.  Vacuum lines to distributor seemed to check O.K. but, I am at a loss as to what to do next, (outside of taking it to a repair shoppe).

Thank You,

Answer
ok this is one thing i should have put in my description. carbs are the devil to me. i am sorry to say but i suck with them.

what i can say for sure is the accelerator pumps are always going out on them. it is in the back of the carb on the drivers side. upside down actually. you will see a small rod coming up to a lever. if that is dirty and wet you should go ahead and change it and see what the difference is.

you can also check the bowl. a little window on that same side (drivers) before the accel pump. clean that off and with a light you can watch the fuel level. if it falls to low, the floats can be adjusted, but what is possible is the fuel pump not keeping up anymore.

sorry but that is the only advice i can give for that monster.

(my project car is an 85 prelude. it was dual sidedraft carbs. it has been changed to fuel injected for a long time now. just as an example how much i hate them :)
