Honda Repair: Help!, valve cover gasket, gas mileage

Question
I just bought a 1988 integra RS hatchback with 166,000 miles on it for little money.  Okay it would start up fine but took a little bit to crank over.  Checked the plugs and saw that there was considerable amount of oil in each plug tube...Replaced valve cover gasket/plug grommets etc.  Haven't started it yet because pcv valve broke off in the hose so need a new hose because it cracked in half trying to get rest of pcv valve out.....

Okay, I live in arizona so the tube/hose must have been heat warped....

Alright, I changed the fuel filter and I am planning on getting new plugs and maybe new wires.....although I just noticed that there was what appeared to be oil leaking from one of the fuel injectors..but on further inspection it smells like fuel....so my question is should I get new fuel injector seal kits for each injector....or should the injectors be replaced as two look like fuel has been sitting on them for years....

Thanks,

Colin

Answer
first of all if there was oil in your engine? then you just need a new motor cuz ur rings disintegrated!

im 100% sure it was just gas and your car is running rich because you have a fuel leak out of the top of the injectors. this is a very common problem when hondas and Mitsubishi's get older. there is a little bitty o ring on the top of each injector and after a while they can rip or tear. all you need to fix it is a 10mm deep socket, ratchet, and some new o rings. you can get some from any 1988+ Honda or Mitsubishi. just run to the junk yard and pull them off. i bet they wouldn't even charge you. if you want you can just grab the whole injectors. fyi if you are looking for gas mileage increase go with 88-2000 civic dx hatchback or lx sedan. if you want performance try to find Mitsubishi or honda v-tec injectors. they are just a little bit larger cc. just to let you know. i would say unless 200k miles your wires are fine. hope this helps
