Honda Repair: Heater will not blow hot air., fuse puller, haynes books

The heater in my 2000 honda civic only blows cold air even though the temperature gage reads normal.  I need help, its cold in Vermont!

sounds like either a fuse blew under the hood or you will have to replace the heater core up underneath the glove box. if doing the repair yourself, id highly recommend buying a repair  manual like Haynes Books. you can get one at any local autoparts store. check all fuses in the little black box on the far back corner of the passenger side under the hood. then check under the steering wheel. there is a little "door" that you pull down. it has a diagram of all the fuses. id check all of them just incase. all you need is a small pair of pliers or a fuse puller. either one can be purchased at walmart. most air conditioning shops also are certified in Heating systems. that might be your best bet.
