Honda Repair: Honda 1987 blown head gasket, blown head gasket, guide keys

Question
Hello,  I am replacing the head gasket on my 1987 civic.  I have done this on other makes of cars, but this is my first Honda.  The book tells me to remove the exhaust and intake manifolds.  The Exhaust manifold does not look bad, but I have some questions about the intake manifold.  Do I really have to remove everything on top.  Hose carb, ext.  or can I loosen and just slide it back to get the head off after I remove the exhaust manifold.  Do you have any good tricks for me, or is there anything that I really should know before I tackle this.  Thanks

Answer
leave inlet manifold on, undo the bolts underneith the inlet manifold, pull off all hoses including the exhaust tube to inlet manifold :), take exhaust off at the head, pry cam belt off after unloading the tensioner, pull head off by inlet manifold on an angle towards windscreen, make sure you dont loose any of the guide keys.

Hope ive been of some Help
