Honda Repair: 1986 Honda Prelude surging, honda prelude, card models

Question
When I'am cruising down the highway around 50 to 60 mph. the engine surges, but not allways. It accelerates just fine without any glitches. New fuel filters, fuel pump, air filter, plugs, plug wires installed. This is a dual carb 1.8 litre engine.

well all 1.8 dual card models do this... pull tops off the carbs, pull barrels out and remove needles, find a small washer and fit over the needle so its sitting under the alloy tip on the end, then grind or lathe the thickness of the washer off the top, what we are doing is raising the flow of petrol at high speed to stop the surging, or another way is to simply replace carbs
