Honda Repair: Popping sound and wet floors, pop pop pop, brake calipers

Question
I am having two problems with my 1996 Civic DX Coupe.

Problem 1 - Whenever it rains, the drivers side floor is wet (along with under the driver's seat and the drivers side back seat floor).  It is only in the low spots of the floor, but it is very wet.  My seat isn't wet, nor my inside window or door, so I am not sure where the water is coming in.  I just started noticing this two weeks ago, but it has been a rainy two weeks... any ideas?

Problem 2 - When I brake from high speeds I hear a "pop pop pop..pop..pop....pop....pop......pop" as I brake (it sounds like it is under the car). It gets less frequent as I start to decelerate until it stops when I'm fully stopped.  Also, when I accelerate and turn somewhat sharply at the same time I hear a similar sound, it comes from under the car, but more like from the front.  I'm not experiencing any difference in the car's performance, but these are clearly not sounds I am used to hearing on the car.

Answer
Have you had any window repair done on this car?  MOst of the time, people destroy the plastic rain skin inside the door panel and it leaks water down the inside of the door panel.  Use a garden hose to try and duplicate where the water is coming in.

Most likely you have brake vibration when braking or if it isn't vibrating then my first guess would be the rotors are warped enough to cause the calipers to knock back and forth when you are braking.   If you have the ability, jack up the front wheels and remove the tires and watch the brake calipers when you start the car and place it in gear.
