Honda Repair: Honda Clutch, clutch master cylinder, brake master cylinder

Question
Hi,  Drove a 95 Honda civic Dx tonight with 159k miles.  Need a comuter car.  Runs well, but I am concerned about the clutch.  It releases very low to the floor.  Other than that, it seems to work ok, but I think it is going to need a clutch.  Any opinion?  Also, how much would it usually cost in total to replace if needed.  Thanks for the help!  Gary

Answer
I would check to make sure that the clutch master cylinder reservoir is full.  This reservoir is located next to the brake master cylinder.  If its low, it most likely is leaking down the firewall by the clutch pedal.  You will need to replace the clutch master cylinder and bleed system to fix this.  Low pedal engagement usually isn't the clutch.
