Honda Repair: 98 Civic a/c leak maybe?, residual pressure, pen tip

Question
Recently I noticed a pen tip size hole in the metal pipe with the foam covering (left side of the car). The foam covering was worned out, and the pipe was exposed, that was how i was able to see the hole. I patched it up with JB weild hoping that it would fix the problem.

Before I patched up the hole, I brought one of the R134a bottles with the guage to recharge the system myself. The guage reading was zero. After I patched up the hole, I proceeded to add the refridgerant. I added about 5 oz. and stopped to measure again. I had a reading of 25 psi. So I stopped. The next day I checked the pressure from the low side port again, and it kept going down., 20, 15, ... After about 3 days, it went to 0 again.

Why did I get such a high reading afer adding only 5 oz of refridgerant to an empty system? I thinking my system is still leaking?

Answer
You will never be able to repair an a/c leak with jb weld.  YOu will have to replace the line if you think its leaking.  25psi isn't a high reading but the system should take 1.4 oz.  Was the system running with that pressure or was that just residual pressure?  Residual pressure should be about what the temp outside is so if its 70 degrees you should be able to see about 70 psi on the low side when the system isn't on.
