Honda Repair: Honda Civic EX 1997 SRS light, honda civic ex, airbag system

Hi,
This is the second time the SRS light on my 1997 Honda Civic has gone on.  Last year, it started to go on somedays and sometimes it would not be on when I started the car.  I took it to the dealership and they told me it was a problem with the airbag system.  They turned off the light and I haven't gotten it fixed yet.  Several months ago, the light started to go on and off, and now stays on all the time.  Will this be the same problem?  Or most likely something different?

Most likely the same problem.  Unfortunaly the dealer is the only place that I know of that has the tester to check SRS light codes.  So it will probably be pretty expensive to fix.  Of course, with the light on, there is a good possibility that the air bags will not deploy in the event of an accident.
