Honda Repair: 89 accord hard starting prob., fuel filter, driving time

my sister in law has a 89 accord, 4cylinder w/ 214.000 miles. he car has recently has been hard to start, it has even stalled on her a few times after a very short driving time. she had the fuel filter changed on her last oil change (3000 miles ago) I suggested maybe the fuel pump could be going bad. she lives 80 miles from me so I haven't looked at the car yet, does this car have a electric pump or manual? if electric, is it in the tank?

Erik, the fuel pump is electric and is located inside fuel tank which can be accessed from inside the trunk. Is the car carbeurated or fuel injected? If carbeurated there is another fuel filter on the frame just in front of the left rear wheel. Good luck, RICK
