Honda Repair: Honda accord 91, wont start!!, engine cranks, honda accord

Question
-------------------------
Thank you for answer. Yes the engine cranks, but I wrote wrong it was igniter, distribiutor cup and ignition coil that was replaced. I'm sorry I'm not so good at this:-) You see I've bought this car for a month ago. First time I've had a start problem, those three things was replaced. After that car was working fine about 7 days, then the problems started again. At first car won't start somethimes, now it's dead. The engine cranks but it sounds like fuel pump do not get a fuel. I'm starting to worry if it is bigger problem with this car? Another thing I can think about is securiti alarm. It thasn't work, but I wonder if it's possible that it can cutt the fuel off.

Hello! I have honda accord 2.2i 91. I have a problem with starting the engine. We have allready repleced    a distribiutor cup and ignition swich. What else can it be?
Answer -
Niki, does the engine crank? And if so does it crank faster than before? I'm asking because I don't know why you replaced the ignition switch and if it cranks fast you may have a broken timing belt(a compression test will tell you) If it's a spark issue I've seen alot of igniter problems which is located inside the distributor and I've seen fewer ignition coil problems which depending on the model is inside the distributor or outside. If its a fuel issue I've seen many main relays not energizing the pump to supply fuel. If you can confirm what you're missing(fuel/spark) I can help out more. RICK

Answer
Niki, if you're suspecting a no fuel concern when you turn the key on the check engine light comes on for 2 seconds then goes off. At the exact time it goes off listen for a click. If it doesn't click replace the main relay. If it clicks remove the fuel supply hose from the fuel rail and point into a container and have someone turn the key on, fuel should come out(be careful, fuel is under pressure!)Good luck, RICK
