Honda Repair: TIMING BELT, balancer shaft, oil seals

Question
I HAVE A 1992 HONDA ACCORD EX WITH 130,000 MILES MY WATER PUMP IS LEAKING   HOW MUCH SHOULD I EXPECT TO PAY TO HAVE THAT AND TIMING BELT DONE  CAN U RECOMMEND A GOOD MECHANIC

Answer
Matt, At the shop I work at it would cost you approx. 550-650 tax in cdn(depending on labor rate/hour). Normal labour is approx. 4.5h. That would include the timing and balancer belt, water pump and coolant. Other parts you may want to replace at the same time would include the P/S belt and alt/compressor belt(if req'd)Also when the timing covers are removed common problems under them are leaking camshaft oil seals and front balancer shaft oil seals. I recommend a HONDA dealer as they will probably have the parts in stock if needed(i.e. oil seals etc.)and they know your car best. Good luck, RICK
