Honda Repair: Local Mechanic, south orange nj, essex county

I bought a 2006 Odyssey a few months ago and am just past 3000 miles.  I'd like to find a reputable Honda mechanic outside of the dealers in my area (South Orange, NJ - Essex County), but don't know how to go about doing so.  Any recommendations?

Josh, The best way that I have found is to ask around to your neighbors, family or co-workers. If you don't have a network from those people I would find a mechanic that has been in business for a while and begin taking your car to them for all the minor things and see if they perform that well and build up your relationship. See how they treat you and if they fix the minor things and don't try to over repair you. I live in the St. Louis area so I have only suggestions on how to find a good mechanic and no recommendations.
