Honda Repair: EEC, honda parts, footwell

I've been informed that I need a new EEC in my 2002 Accord EX. I was also told that it was located lower mid-dash under the radio. I don't see how it could possibly fit there. I did locate a unit that is approx. 6x6 inches on the upper left wall of the driver's footwell with multiple electronic termination inputs. It has an ID# S84-A01. Is that the EEC? If not, what does it look like and where is it?

I'm sorry I don't have that information. You can call a Honda parts department and they should be able to tell you. Also I have included a website that you may be able to use to look up the part. Sorry I can't be of more help.
