Honda Repair: time belt replacement/maintenance indicator light, pipe replacement, recommended time

Question
Hello,
I have 99 Honda Civic automatic with 44000 miles. I would like to know what is the recommended time to replace time belt. Also, my maintenance light just turned yellow, although I visited car repair very recently for exhaust pipe replacement and they checked other things too. I doesn't seem to me that anything is wrong. I am wondering whether this light is set up in a way that lights up periodically as a reminder for check up or it really indicates that something is wrong. Thank you.

Honda recommends changing the timing belt on your car every 105K miles, you should also replace the water pump since it is run by the timing belt. As for the maintenance light, it comes on every 6K miles as a reminder to do the scheduled maintenance. To turn it off: There is a "sel" switch on the right side of the dash by the speedometer, with the key in the off position you press and hold it in, turn the key to the II position, do not start car and hold switch until the light goes off in about 5 seconds.
