Honda Repair: 90 Accord cooling problem, radiator cap, temperature gauge

Question
I have a 1990 Accord DX.  I had my coolant flushed out and put back in at Sears.  After that, my car started steaming from under the  hood by the radiator and battery and antifreeze was all on the battery, radiator, etc.  Took it back to Sears and they said I needed a new radiator cap.  Changed the radiator cap.  Started steaming again.  Took it back to Sears and they said I needed a new thermostat.  I bought the thermostat, but haven't been able to put it on yet.  My question is this: If it is the thermostat, why isn't my check engine light on or temperature gauge moving up to the hot mark if the car is overheating?  Now, the more I drive the car, the more it steams and now it seems to be losing power and is getting harder to start.  Should I go with the thermostat, get a new radiator, or is there something else wrong?

Buffy:
You need to fill up the radiator with coolant and determine where the leak is coming from. I do not think you need a new thermostat. You have an obvious leak and it needs to be stopped, the cooling system is a closed system and creates pressure, the pressure is pushing the coolant out, I would think someone would be able to easily see the leak. Sears would not be my choice to look at this problem. Make sure you keep coolant with a 50/50 water mix or you will damage your engine.
Good luck.
