Honda Repair: D4 light / Wont start, accord lx, indicator light

Question
I bought my son a 95 Accord LX Sedan 2 months ago.  Of course 1 month ago he rear-ended someone.  Luckily the frame is ok but both airbags went off.  It is being fixed but now the D4 indicator light has started flashing and the car will not start.  It was not doing this before the accident.  Any ideas where to start?  Thanks!

I check the diagnostics from the check engine light and see what code it brings up but it sounds like a tranny problem I would check all cable running from the tranny to make sure none are faulty I am really not sure what the problem might be never really heard of that but I would check that and is the starter working properly? check battery, alternator and ecu fuse. Let me know if any complications come up thanks.
