Honda Repair: check eng light, running hot, head gasket, vetec

Question
I recently bought a 93 prelude  with VETEC eng,
it has 139000 miles on it he seller said that he recent smok the car ,  but the chk eng light is on, the cat=r runs hot after driving just 7 miles, there is no coolant in the radiator,
oil comming from where the tranny and the engine comes together.
Can you give me some advise, and tell me some legal issues.?

Answer
Donavan:
It sounds like the head gasket is blown and with the miles on it you should have the engine rebuilt also. I can't really give you any real legal advice, but I do know if the seller did not disclose everything that was wrong with the car I think the seller would have some responsibility. It can be difficult to prove what the seller knew and it becomes their word against yours. I would get an estimate on how much it is to have it fixed and try to work something out without lawyers first. You may see if there is a legal forum that can get you real info.
Good luck.
