Honda Repair: honda prelude 92 starting problem, honda prelude 92, fuel injection system

Question
it is so weird, my car starts fine in the morning and at night, but when it is in the sun it doesn't want to start. or if i drove somewhere and want to start it up again, i need to wait till it cools or something. i read that it might be the main relay, but i dont want to spend more money trying to fix the problem if there is something else that it could be. if it is the solution to my problem do i need to have a machanic put one in or could i do it myself? last summer i had a new distributer put in because it totally shut off on me while driving, along with a new coil. winter drives fine, but summers seem to be a curse for my car.

I can't diagnosis the problem without checking out the car, so I can't say that the relay is your problem. My guess is that the relay is fine. A problem that only shows up in certain types of conditions needs to have the car checked when those conditions are present. A couple of things I would do is, replace the air filter, clean and check the battery ground wires and check the fuel injection system to make sure it is working properly.
When you have someone check out your car ask them if they are guessing or if it is fixed because it is difficult as I said to fix an intermittent problem.
Hope this helps.
