Honda Repair: Honda Accord will not start with key., honda accord ex, fuse box

Question
I have a 1991 Honda Accord Ex Manual Transmission.
The car drove fine yesterday. I went to start it this morning and it did not turn over. I do get normal lights on dash when i turn the key. The windows roll down and electrically everything seems fine. I ran a wire from the battery to the starter and was able to start the car. I disconnected the ignition harness from the fuse box and checked continuity and all seems well. I know there is a sensor that prevents the car from being started without depressing the clutch how do i check this out? The symptoms I'm getting are similiar to me trying to start the car without depressing the clutch.

Daryl:
The switch is in the engine compartment on the driver side and should have a couple of wires going to it. You can check to make sure voltage is getting to switch, but I really do not know how to test. I have poked around and checked a few manuals and can't find much.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
