Honda Repair: brakes, aluminum wheels, honda dealerships

Question
i need to replace my pads on the front and rear of my 97
prelude. i have been told by shops to use ceramic, but the
honda dealerships recommends the honda pads which are
expensive. which is better? honda? ceramic? other?
thanks

Answer
Josh:
The ceramic pads are fairly expensive (not compared to Honda pads) but they do not leave the black dust on your wheels like the regular pads. I'm sure the Honda pads are high quality, but I would not pay what they want for them.
I would go with the ceramic pads if you have nice aluminum wheels; otherwise regular brake pads are fine.
