Honda Repair: 89 prelude si troubles, strut mounts, ball joints

Question
hey bill, i was wondering if a diagnostic can be done on my car, hoping its not to old. here are the probs: the car is heating up at an idle and it sometimes won't start because of the engine light, will roll but wont fire up, needs time to cool (10mins to 4-5 hours), taking too much gas on small trips. fuel pump not priming, but works intermittently? relay? 302k 5spd where is the fuel pump located? - also the front end was squeaking really bad when the wheels are turned either way or when a slight bump is hit in the road, had several shops look at it with no answers, ball-j? wh. bearings? strut mounts? shudders at 110 125km any of these puzzles given ideas would be greatly appreciated..! ps: just did timing belt water pump, fr. struts springs 3 used ball-js from parts car and all general maintenance; filters plugs, used rad from "88 S mike c
thanx bill....

Answer
Mike:
This car is old and has a lot of miles, I would say that it is just wearing out. The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank and I would suspect that it is bad. The noise in the front end sounds like ball joints and/or tie rods.
Good luck.
