Honda Repair: 2002 Honda Accord SE, front end vibration, vibration problem

Question
Bill, I recently purchased a certified 2002 Accord SE after my 1990 Accord LX finally blew up.  After driving this new car for a week or so I noticed a front end vibration... it seems to come from the drivers side front.  It smooths out somewhat on new stretches of highway.  Since the car was purchased with brand new tires, I am planning to take it into a tire shop and have them all removed, high speed balanced, and reinstalled.  Do you have any thoughts on other more serious problems that could be at the root of this vibration?  Also, how often should I take it in to get the oil changed?  I hear that the old "every 3000 miles" doesn't apply to newer vehicles.

Deborrah:
I would think that having your tires balanced will solve you vibration problem. I change my oil base on what Honda recommends, every 7500 miles. I think for the most part you are wasting money by changing every 3000 miles unless you only drive in the city or live in a dusty area. Keep in mine though you should check the oil level periodically, especially if you change every 7500 miles.
