Honda Repair: fuel pump for 1987 Honda Accord LX, honda accord lx, pressure gauge

Question
I own an 87 Honda Accord LX and have had 2 incidents where it stalled suddenly and seems to be getting no fuel.  The weather has also been abnormally hot as in over 100 degrees.  Are there any easy ways to test fuel pump or the relay?  Thanks for any help!

Answer
Larry:
The relay can be tested by attaching leads to the two terminals that have continuity and touching the leads to the battery to see if you hear clicking. To test the pump you need to test for fuel pump pressure. I would suggest you purchase a repair manual and a pressure gauge, the book will walk you through the steps. Since the problem is intermittent, you may not find anything and may have to make your best guess at fixing the problem.
Good luck.
