Honda Repair: starting, 1991 honda accord, honda accord

well i was driving home from class, and on the way down the parking garage the car just shut of. no sputtering o nothing it just shut of. now that this has happen it will turn ocer but it will not kick. it is like it not getting spark or maybe feul. i had a guy look at it and he said it was the distributor. but i was not sure of that after donig some surfing on the net. the car bythe way is a 1991 honda accord se with 160 plis on it. i have had only a leaky oil pan fixed.

You will need to diagnosis whether it is spark or fuel. After you crank it, check the plugs to see if they are wet with gas, if they are you have fuel. If there is no spark you will need to check the ignition system (battery, plugs, plug wires, distributor, distributor cap and rotor). You may want to buy a repair book (usually about $14) and go through the checking for each component. If you start replacing parts, that can get expensive and very frustrating.
