Honda Repair: 89 Prelude No Start, spark plug wires, switch battery

Question
Bill, my 89 prelude si cut out on me the other day while driving. Since I have looked at everything I know to include checking the coil, igniter, and battery. I can crank it over but there is no power coming out of the coil to the dist,. I asume if I could regain that spark it would fire up, is there a chance of a faulty ignition switch even thought I can get it to crank ? Please advise

Answer
Matt:
I am confused by what you say, if you do not have any power from the coil, I would say the coil is bad. But you say you have checked the coil and I assume the coil checked out okay. The ignition system consists of the ignition switch, battery, coil, distributor, spark plug wires and spark plugs. You need to go through and check each one and verify operation. If they all work then what you have is a fuel related problem.
Please follow-up if you need more detail.
