Honda Repair: Car almost stalls when driving at low speed, proper lubrication, honda accord

Question
I have a '98 Honda Accord, which has been going through a lot of oil...I have to add oil every three weeks or so. Now, the car acts like it's going to stall when I start up from a stoplight.  I'll hit the gas, and it kind of hesitates, but doesn't make any sputtering sounds. This continues as I drive, until I reach about 40mph, then it smooths out.
There is no obvious oil leak, but Midas said it may be an internal oil leak.  Could the oil problems and the near-stalling be connected? And if so, (or if not), what could be causing this... a few people told me it could need new sparkplugs.  Thanks for any help with this!!!

I'm not sure if both your problems are related, but they may be. I am very concerned about the amount of oil you are consuming and where it is going. If you are burning oil you would notice a lot of bluish smoke, but if it is just escaping through the engine you would have a coating of oil inside your tail pipe. You could take off the oil fill cap on the head cover and see if there is oil coming out while the car is running (there would not be a lot but you should get some spray). If there is not oil coming out you could have a failure with the oil pump. I would have this checked out right away because you could be causing a lot of damage to the engine without proper lubrication. The hesitation could be caused from fouled spark plugs or a problem in the fuel system; clogged fuel filter of dirty injector(s).
Please email back as to what the problem(s) are.
Good luck.
