Honda Repair: Crank Pulley, dual overhead cam, drive pulley

Question
Bill,
My friend has an 93 Acura Integra with a 1.7L dual overhead cam honda motor. He is in the process of changing the timing belt and cannot seem to get the torque broken on the crankshaft drive pulley bolt. My question; Is there a certain tool required or could it be reverse treaded or something like that. This is a real hang up point in the repair.

Thank You,
Jerry

Answer
Jerry:
You will need a breaker bar and an extension to get bring you outside the wheel well. You may want to slide an extension over the breaker bar so you can get a lot of leverage. If you still can't get it off you may consider an impact wrench.
It is not reversed threaded.
Good luck.
