Honda Repair: Noise, honda accord lx, 2001 honda accord lx

Hello Bill, I am getting a "click" "click" noise from my car. I think it may be the lifters but im not sure and the noise is only noticeable at around 1,200 RPM. What can I do to make the noise go away ? What should i expect to pay ?. What kind of mileage should i get from the car ? im getting about 300 miles per tank which seems pretty low to me for a honda.
By the way I forgot to mention the most important thing I have a 2001 Honda Accord LX 4DR 2.3 SOHC VTEC with 63K.

If it is the lifters then they will need to be adjusted, I would think they can be adjusted for no more than $150. Since it is only noticeable at 1200 RPMs, I do not think that would be the problem. You would really need to isolate where it is coming from before seeing how to make it go away.
You should expect to get anywhere from 23 to 28 MPG depending upon your driving habits.
