Honda Repair: 1992 Honda Civic Hatchback 1600cc, honda civic hatchback, piston rings

Question
Two questions:
First, the car seems to run fine for days or even weeks, then begin to run exclusively off the battery and soon enough runs it dead. There does not appear to be any shorts in the system. I increased the idle speed and for quite awhile it ran fine. Then it started doing the same thing again. What gives?

Second, although there does not appear to be any oil burning (and definitely no leaks), this engine runs the oil down faster than any motor I have ever seen. I did an oil cahnge on Tuesday and by Saturday there was no oil on the dipstick. One litre appears to last about 200 kilometers (160 miles). There is no blue (or any other color)smoke. One mechanic suggested it was the head gasket, so that along with the timing belt, water pump and plugs were all replaced at the same time. No improvement. Another suggested that the rings may be "sticking". We are about to put Rislone into the engine to see if that helps. Any suggestions?

Answer
IT SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE MY PROBLEM MY PISTON RINGS ARE FRIED IN MY CIVIC HATCHBACK 92 AND OIL DOESN'T LAST VERY LONG IN IT AFTER DRIVING AWHILE I WOULD STOP THE CAR AND THE OIL WILL BE DRAINED OR VERY LOW. I WOULD ALSO CHECK YOUR ALTERNATOR AND MAKE SURE THE BELT IS NOT TOO LOOSE OR TOO TIGHT.
