Honda Repair: balance shaft positioning, balance shaft, engine vibration

Question
I changed the timing and balance shaft belts some time ago on my 93 Accord EX.  The repair manual I was using was not real clear on where the rear balance shaft needed to be positioned. With the crank set at TDC, and the cam shaft positioned with those little lines parallel with the sides of the head, where should the balance shaft be?  Should it just be positioned so that a srewdriver will fit in that hole on the aft side of the engine, or should it be someplace else?  I ask this because I have an engine vibration above 60 mph.  Thanks for any help.

Answer
hello Well the balance shaft is on the front of the engine. the front gear will point towardfront of engine. if you look at the top of shaft it has a notch it aims up. the rear gear is the oil pump it realy doesn make a difference. it also has a notch to line up. What size engine do you have? This info is for 2.2l. not a duel over head cam .  Are you sure that it is an engine vibration ? It is not an axle or trans problem ? let me know. Good luck
