Honda Repair: Smoke smell, honda civic lx, 1990 honda civic lx

Hello ! I have a 1990 Honda Civic LX, and when I´ve been driving for a while, I start sensing a smoke-like smell (a combination between hot air and carbon monoxide)inside the car (with door windows closed of course), and even with A/C off. Who could help me and tell me what could it be?
I don´t know what previous repairs it has, cause I got it recently. I just know that it was painted.

Sounds like you have an exhaust leak. It could be at the manifold, or the A-pipe. The air from your vents comes in from under the hood. You need to check in the engine compartment for any leaks. It could also be oil leaking at the engine and as it burns off the engine, it gives off a smell. You should have it checked soon.
