Answer
Alex,
I am curious how many miles you have on your car. Either you have a lot of miles on your car, or the engine overheated at one time, or the car was not maintained properly. Read on and I will explain further.
Basically its one of 2 things.
1. You have bad valve seals. You see when your car sits for a long time, the oil that is in the top of the engine seeps past your valve seals, very slowly. When you start up your car in the morning, that oil that leaked past the seals is now in your combustion chamber. And what happens when you burn oil? It smokes. Once that oil is burnt, it stops smoking and you don't see it anymore.
2. You have stuck piston rings. When the engine is cold, the piston rings are sticking the piston and allowing oil to pass by them. Once the engine gets warm, the rings break free from the pistons by way of heat. Then they seal better and no more smoke.
Does that help you?
Thanks for the question!
